My name is Camilla and I'm a visual artist based in Finland.
I got a degree in visual design in 2014 and in the fall of 2015 I studied game production, specializing in game graphics.
I became self employed at the age of 22, after graduating in 2014. I started out as a graphic designer, working with brands both locally and internationally. After years in the field I slowly gravitated more towards what I did in my spare time, drawing, painting and photographing animals and nature. I found a way to work with storytelling and speak about important environmental and societal topics through my paintings and hope to share my knowledge, thoughts and love for our beautiful planet with you.
In 2022-2023 I got a Vocational Qualification in Arts and Design (Taideteollisuusalan perustutkinto) and became an interior design artisan to broaden my skills in artistic design, craftmanship and development of products.
After working under my private name for a few years, I decided to take an artist name in september of 2022 and started working as Camilla Fjäder.

In 2022 I had the opportunity to pursue my second passion, nature and animals. I moved to a 100 year old farm with a beautiful log-frame house in the Finnish countryside.
In my spare time I renovate and redecorate my house and the other buildings on the property and take care of all my animals.
I currently share my home with two rescue dogs (one from Romania and one from Russia), two rescue bunnies, 3 snakes, some tarantulas and a small pack of chickens. Homeless animals are especially close to my heart and there will no doubt be more of them in the future.
